The A. L. Riddle House
On the Old Natchez Trace
Tishimongo County, MS
This hand-hewn log house was built before the
Civil War and served as a schoolhouse for a
number of years.  Originally, the house, also, had
a porch, a sleeping room and a chimney.  At the
time the pictures were taken, it had been in the
possession of the A. L. Riddle family since
1919.  The Riddles were one of the pioneer
families of Tishimongo County.
