Christ Church Episcopal was the first protestant church to be organized in New
Orleans.  The date of the image above is unknown, but the building looks new, so
I suspect it was taken right after it was constructed in 1886.  This photo, and the
next three photos below, represent the fourth Christ Church sanctuary, on St.
Charles Avenue.  The first three buildings were located on Canal Street.  The first
building was consecrated in 1837, but the congregation was organized in 1805.
